I am so excited that the prompt for the Inspiration Workshop this week is Kitchens.
Over the past few weeks my husband and I have been discussing all the changes that we want to make to our kitchen, so this fits in perfectly. We rent, so unfortunately most of our changes are decorative and organizational.
If I could redo my kitchen completely, it would be transformed into a country farm house kitchen (attached to the farm house) out in the middle of no where with a back door that opened onto a large grassy play area for the kids. For now, that is only in my dreams.
Since I have to be realistic and work with a non existent budget, I have surfed the net for ideas. I found quite a few on Pinterest. You are on Pinterest, right? If you want an invite send me a note with your email address. I have several of my ideas for my kitchen makeover stored on their own board.
I have purchased a few things from Etsy including a set of two of these lovely potholders from Judy Whitney Creations
And two sets of these lovely crocheted wash clothes from Mahogany Sage.
So, can you guess what colors I have chosen for my kitchen?
My inspiration for the kitchen redo came from a duvet cover and pillow case set that my friend Jenn gave me. It is white with a blue floral print. I was trying to figure out how to use it and I got totally inspired to make a set of curtains for my kitchen out of it. Then came the ideas for totally rearranging the kitchen (lots of heavy work for hubby) and all the fun decorative projects.
Don’t worry, I will share more (eventually), but for now, I would love to hear about your kitchen. What do you love or hate about it? What is working and what is not?
