My God is so Big

I have so much to share with everyone this week, but the first thing that I wanted to make sure you knew was that God is a great provider.

On Saturday afternoon, I was nursing the twins and getting ready to put them down for a nap when someone knocked at the door. My husband went to answer it and all I heard from upstairs was that something was heavy was coming into the house. My first thought was that maybe my homeschool materials had arrived early, but I soon discovered that we had a mini miracle (okay, huge miracle).

A family friend was at the door and he was dropping off a couch and a love seat that he had purchased at a garage sale for $20.00. Apparently, our phone was dead because he had tried to call.

Our previous couch was used and wearing out (this is an understatement) and needed to be replaced. Our new couch is beautiful and looks so awesome!

Jonah moved our old couch out into the backyard (where the kids are enjoying it until he takes it apart and puts it into the bin).

My husband wrangled a neighbor to help move in the couch and it would NOT fit through the front door. My husband and this neighbor struggled for a very long time turning it this way and that way. They tried everything. My husband measured the back door and it was the same  as the front door.

The twins were in their room trying to sleep (it never happened), the kids were running in and out of the house and up and down the stairs, and my husband and this neighbor are hot and tired from maneuverering the couch.

They finally removed the legs and squeezed it in through the sliding door in the back, we needed to move in the love seat  that came with it (which was still sitting out in the front yard.

I was able to nab two unsuspecting local teens to help move the love seat and that was squeezed through the back door also.

When all the furniture was in the house,  then came the job of rearranging our living room to make it fit. It took some thinking, planning, and lots of rearranging to make it work, but I am really happy with the end result.

My husband and I were discussing the new furniture and I remembered my mom saying just a couple days before that we needed to pray for a couch. God works fast. We are very thankful that God provided for our needs.
