Weekly Wrap-up

I know that I haven’t been around for a very long time and I apologize for that. I thought that the perfect way to jump back in was to give you a short recap of our life this past week.

Malachi and Moses hurt their backs at an indoor play area at a local fast food restaurant. Which involved a trip to the clinic and a trip back to the restaurant to report it. They have offered free meals as compensation.

I think we picked up some germs at the clinic because Moses ended up sick with the flu and the twins ended up sick with bad colds (drippy noses and coughs).

We had a couple of productive days of school this week, but the sickies meant we had a pretty miserable second week back to school.

We have been trying a modified workbox system and a weekly with our homeschooling and it has been working very well. One week we work on Bible, Math, and Science and the next week we work on Bible, English, Spelling, and Reading. As usual, our school schedule is always being tweaked.

Blog Changes Coming

Just a heads up to let you know that there are MAJOR changes coming to the blog AGAIN. The site is being completely redesigned to make it more readable and searchable. I have a fun new look for you and I can’t wait to share it. I am not making any promises about when the new design will be up and running, but it shouldn’t be too long now.

Talk to you all soon.

  1. Oooh, I’m excited for the new design. I’m sure you’ve got something great up your sleeve! How terrible the kids got injured at a restaurant play area, but I’m glad it isn’t anything major and it sounds like the restaurant is apologetic.

    I’m glad you’re back!

    1. Hi Sara,

Thanks for visiting. I have a new design up my sleeve. I am hoping everyone else thinks that it is great because I love it. I am so excited, but all in due time. I hate being patient.

The injury was pretty bad (we took a picture – nice puncture wound) but he is mending well. His back is still sore. The restaurant has been very good about following up with phone calls and inspections etc of the play area.

It feels good to be back. Now just to set a reasonable pace…. LOL. It is all about balance.

    1. Hi Donna,

I am so glad you stopped by and found me. I love meeting new people.

Yes, puncture wound. I have a picture to prove it. Yuck. He is doing much better now.

I look forward to getting to know you.
