For Today, May 18th, 2011

Outside my window…

I can see splatterings of little cut out squares in the green stucco walls of our housing complex and now they are being wrapped with red hazard tap. I am immediately flooded with just a wee bit of panic at the thought of even more renovations.

I am thinking…

Upcoming birthdays are filling my thoughts these days and I am having fun exploring the computer for baby pictures. Don't worry, I will be sharing them with you soon.

I am thankful for…

For the chance to get out to the museum with the whole family yesterday (for free). We had loads of fun and made some great memories.

From the learning rooms…

We are cramming everything we can into this last month of school and we will have some catching up to do this summer before we move on to our new school materials

From the kitchen…

We have been exploring grilled sandwiches without mayonaise or dairy (due to Hosanna's allergies) and we are loving them. Who knew a grilled tuna sandwich could taste so good. I now have a new favorite lunch item for the weekly menu plan.

I am wearing…

I am wearing my everyday clothes. Today is a lounge around the house, relaxing, kind of school day, due to the excess of walking yesterday.

I am creating…

crocheted baby blankets, acrylic paintings, a crocheted bowl (for my mama for Mother's Day), graphic designs for clients, and a whole plethora of other things. I just need to be more diligent about taking pictures and actually getting them posted to show you.

I am going…

to be very busy over the next few weeks with birthday celebrations and I have some surprises for you (stay tuned).

I am reading…

Creatively Simple – How To Make Your House A Home by Penny Raine

31 Days To Clean

I paid for these books with my own money. I am loving them and learning so much. These are not affiliate links, so feel free to click through and read more about them.

I am hoping…

make that longing for naptime today and a little bit of peace and quiet because….

I am hearing…

the sound of spa music from the tv, the click-clack of my hubby typing, the music from my daughter playing games on the iPad, traffic zooming by outside, voices of my children playing enthusiastically (and their footsteps thumping up and down the hallway and stairs), birds chirping, the fan humming, and workmen on ladders banging on the outside walls of our complex.

Around the house…

We need to do our general house clean, prepare our grocery list, and declutter the kitchen.

One of my favorite things…

this week has been looking through pictures of the twins as itty bitty babies and remembering the past three years.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

This week is busy with my weekly visit from my friend Jenn, our bi-weekly visit with the OT, our bi-weekly support teacher visit, our monthly grocery shop, dinner with my parents, birthday party plans, cake baking, cake decorating, and a birthday party for the twins.  (Whew! That tired me out just writing that and it is all over a period of three days).

Here is picture for thought I am sharing…
