Homeschool Mother’s Journal – meme

In my life this week…

I have tonsillitis again and the twins are getting over stuffy noses and sore throats. I am really tired of being sick.

In our homeschool this week…

We are making slow progress with our daily work and I am trying to relax and not stress about it.

Places we are going and people we are seeing…

I am going to the clinic again for a second dose of antibiotics, but mostly we are hanging out around the house.

My favorite thing this week was…

Snuggling with the twins when they were sick.

What’s working/not working for us…

We have a new bedroom arrangement (which I will write about soon) and it is really working out better. I have been doing school one on one with each kid in our bedroom. It has been keeping the distractions to a minimum, but could still use some tweaking as it tends to be quite time consuming.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…

I have been wondering how we can be more productive in our homeschooling.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…

The twins crashing on the couch for an afternoon nap.

Elisha working out his math problems in the drawing program on the iPad.

I am linking this post up to The Homeschool Mother’s Journal over at The Homeschool Chick.

  1. OH, I am so sorry you have been sick! Twins!!! WOW! I know I have been following you for a while…and slowly made it back…glad I did…I fell off the follow list somehow….hmmmm…

Anyway, I want an iPad so badly…..really…everytime I see the ways you can use it in homeschool….I just want it even worse!!!

Hope you’re feeling better. Just curious, do you grind your own wheat and bake your own bread? My husband and I have suffered from severe allergies for years…and he has had chronic tonsilitis. Since we have started down the road of grinding/baking…those problems have disappeared!

    1. Hi Rebecca,

I hate being sick. It just doesn’t fit well when you have a house to run and a family to take care of. My husband is awesome though.

I am so glad you found me again.

At first I didn’t want an iPad, but after a bit of research I saw the benefits to it. And now, after purchasing it, I am absolutely in love.

We do not grind our own wheat or bake our own bread. I would be happy to go back to baking our own bread, but I have never tried grinding my own wheat. That is definitely something to discuss with my husband. Thank you for letting me know about that.

Please come back and visit again.
