Happy Mother’s Day To My Wife

Hi, I am the mysterious husband of Honey. This Mother's Day I wanted to do something special for her, so I wrote the following:

Happy Mother's Day To My Wife

My wife is a virtuous woman, let me show you the ways:

31:10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies?

I found my wife online in an internet chat room back in 1999. She was worth the air travel.

31:11 The heart of her husband safely trust her; So he will have no lack of gain.

There are many times I am reminded that we have what we need. I trust my wife.

31:12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life.

Many times over she has proven to do good for my house and for my kids. Everyday.

31:13 She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands.

Did I mention that she can crochet some amazing items. She can make a blanket in a blink of the eye, almost.

31:14 She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar.

There was one time someone sent us food from Maine, USA after she prayed to God that day.

31:15 She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants.

We have 5 children and my wife has graciously nursed them all during many long nights. It has been 3 years of nursing with the twins.

31:16 She considers a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard.

We have moved several times over the years and she always find the best places to rent that saves us money. She loves those real estate guides and the MLS site.

31:17 She girds herself with strength, And strengthen her arms.

My wife is a strong willed woman, she finds ways to get what we need.

31:18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out at night.

My wife makes wonderful paintings, blankets and has incredible art. She oftens is up late at night working on them.

31:19 She stretches our her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle.

My wife is always crafting some new project.

31:20 She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.

My wife has compassion for others and often ministers to them through their troubles.

31:21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, For all her household is clothed with scarlet.

I am reminded on many occasions how we are “okay” when the snow storms come, we lack a van, or other things occur.

31:22 She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple.

Although my wife hasn't made clothes for herself recently, she does have some purple shirts that look good.

31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.

My wife is well known. So much so that people say “Hey you're married to Honey right?”

31:24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants.

My wife makes blankets and other crafts and she plans on selling them very soon.

31:25 Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come.

My wife is a strong woman and does a lot for the house.

31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness.

My wife knows what to say or researches it. She knows what to say to the children to get them to listen.

31:27 She watched over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.

My wife is always tending to a child, cooking, nursing, troubleshooting, or one of many other things.

31:28 -29 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.”

My children have a good relationship with Honey. They love her and aren't afraid to approach her on tough topics. I write this because I can't say it enough, “I love her and she excels anything I could have dreamed of.”

31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

My wife has a good relationship with Jesus Christ her saviour. This is what strengthens her everyday to do what she does.

31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.

This Mother's Day, I wrote this to remind her that her works have not gone unnoticed. Those works are the fruit and we are blessed by them.
