On Sunday afternoon my wonderful husband (Jonah) took me out for dinner to Red Robins. The restaurant was loud, but we are used to that with five kids running a muck all the time. We had an amazing time.
The food was absolutely fabulous. We ordered that huge tower of onion rings to munch while we waited for our food. It was so good. Jonah ordered a chicken wrap and I had fish and chips. We didn’t even have room for the bottomless fries. And we certainly didn’t have room for dessert even though it looked mouth watering.
I have a little confession to make.
My husband and I have not been out to dinner ALONE since the twins were born. (They are turning 3 next month!)
It was so nice to have someone else cook the meal, plate the meal, serve the meal, and clean up after the meal.
No one interrupted.
No one spilled their drink.
No one dumped their food on the floor because they were finished.
No one threw their food.
We didn’t have to get up and serve anyone else.
It was so amazing. We just sat there and starred into each other’s eyes and talked. We talked for 2 hours. How beautiful that was.
Okay, we have to do that again VERY SOON.
