I Always Wanted to be a Writer

Ever since I was a small child, I have had a love affair with writing. Don’t worry, my husband knows about it.

I have had journals off and on for most of my life. If truth be told, I will write on just about anything, but my absolute favorite journals were cheap. They were small little lined books available in Chinatown.

I love writing. I think it is more than that. I have so many creative ideas and thoughts in my head that I write while I am sleeping. Seriously, I have twins that I nurse throughout the night and that is when the best ideas come to visit. Like the sheep, the dinosaur, and the blue duck. I couldn’t sleep until I wrote that one down.

Writing is a creative outlet for me. I can be free (somewhat) with my words and my expression. I love being creative with my writing, like the time I climbed a castle guarded by… (you’ll just have to read it to find out!).

Now, on to the big news of the day.

I am excited to share that I have been accepted as a writer for the Homeschool Classroom and today is my first post over there. I will be posting about once a month on random days. I will post a note here on Sunflower Schoolhouse to let you know when. I hope you will take a few minutes and visit.

  1. Congrats. I was going to send something to them. I just haven’t gotten around to doing it. Maybe one day. =)

Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. Thank you for the kind words. I still need a copy of that book of poetry – I neglected to keep a copy for myself.
