Cardboard Houses

I remember making forts out of blankets and chairs in the dining room when I was growing up. They were loads of fun and created a wee bit of mess. All of my kids enjoy creating forts in our living room (which is also our dining room). They enjoy crawling in and out of the fort and I love the squealing and laughing and giggling when they are playing.

I shared about the heat pump installation already. Here is one of the fun benefits the kids enjoyed. This picture is of one of the houses without the roof. The twins especially loved being able to fit in and out of the door, as it was just their height.

Did you ever make a cardboard house when you were a kid?

  1. Oh, how fun! I love it when we get ahold of big boxes like that. Most of my kiddos are “too old” for such a thing now but my special needs guy still likes to make houses out of boxes. My big thing growing up was tents made with sheets and chairs – drove my mom crazy getting all the sheets out of the closet! lol
Glad to have found your blog!

    • Hi Jenn,

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a comment. I am glad you found me too.

My boys loved the cardboard houses. They also love making forts too (gathering all the blankets off all the beds, ugh!).
