Cardboard Car Mat

When I was growing up my sister and I used to draw towns on our giant chalkboard with chalk. We would then drive our cars around in the new towns. This provided hours of entertainment for us. I think my favorite part was drawing (and redrawing) the towns.

When the workers were finished installing the heat pump and we were finished playing with our cardboard houses then we used one side of the box to make this fabulous car mat. Daddy did an awesome job drawing out the city for the boys to drive their cars on.

So, what creative uses do you have for cardboard boxes?

  1. This is a cool story, Honey! I didn’t know that before, about you and your sister drawing towns on chalkboards. This reminds me of when I was young; one time when I was visiting my grandparents in Penticton, I made up a map of an imaginary country with the various places on it named after different relatives; I think I included names of some ancestors as well, that I just learned about.

That’s cool that Jonah made a city for the children to drive their cars on!
