Chemistry Class

Finally, a new download!

Chemistry Class is only one little piece of a bigger project that I am working on. It has taken me a little bit to wrap my head around this whole project and figure out what I want the end result to be (I think it's clicking now!). Today's download is a cute, full color, game board package.

You can download this game board here -->

More Periodic Table Resources

This post is part of a series of posts about Chemistry.

You can read more about my project in my post  Chemistry Is Coming Your Way or you can view my other post about The Periodic Table where I list several great websites.

In this post, I am focusing on videos about The Periodic Table.

The Periodic Table of Videos

This is an excellent website with great videos of each of the elements.

Videos About The Periodic Table

This page has some great videos about the periodic table. You can use these videos to give another dimension to teaching the periodic table. There are about 57 short videos that are available to watch here relevant to this topic.

Atom

The Atom page at neoK12 has some great videos that are relevant to this topic. If you have not been to neoK12, you need to check it out.

Elements of Chemistry: The Periodic Table

This is an excellent video about the history of The Periodic Table.

I hope you are enjoying all of these fun resources. I can't wait to bring you more.

And yes... the downloads are on their way.

The Periodic Table

I am working on my Chemistry Downloads....

Check out this blog post for more information on that project

--> Chemistry is coming your way!

In doing research for my downloads, I have found some great resources that I wanted to share.

~Interactive Periodic Tables and Other Resources~

Chemical Elements

This web page has a periodic table where you can click on the elements. When you click on the elements a page full of information about that element will open up. I found the layout easy to understand and the information presented in a very usable format.

Chemi Cool

This web page also has a periodic table where you can click on the elements. When you click on the elements a page full of information about that element comes up. There are some pictures and information relevant to each element and even some videos.

It's Elemental

This is another clickable periodic table where you can click on the elements. When you click on the individual elements, a page full of useful information opens up about that element. You can also search the elements by Atomic Number, Chemical Name, or Chemical Symbol. This website also has some fun on-line games and activities including Element Flash Cards, Element Math, Element Hangman, Element Balancing, Element Crossword Puzzles (there are 9 different ones of these), Element Word Scramble, Element Matching, and Element Concentration. You can also download and print Element Bingo and Element Word Find. You might also want to visit the Atoms, Elements, and Molecules page which has links to other pages that will help answer any questions you have about the periodic table. There is some very useful information there.

Periodic Table Of The Elements

I really like this website. It has an interactive periodic table with informative pages about each of the elements on the periodic table.  There is a great deal of other useful, related information on this website.

Mokeur's Periodic Table

This is a neat interactive periodic table. You hover your mouse over any of the elements and all the details show up. You have to check it out.

The Visual Elements Periodic Table

This is a very striking visual periodic table. You can download the element information in pdf. You can view the elements as animations. I think this website is very well done.

Web Elements

This is another interactive periodic table of the elements. When you click on the element symbol you are taken to a page with information about that element. This website does have chemistry and periodic table items for sale.

Periodic Table of the Elements

This periodic table is very simple and uncluttered. I would be more inclined to use this for a younger child. When you click on the element a window with very basic information opens up.

The Photographic Periodic Table

This is an amazing visual display of the elements.  If there is no picture of the element its they have included a picture of who discovered it (with some exceptions).

Chem 4 Kids

Chem 4 Kids is an excellent website for learning about the periodic table.  It is very colorful and has useful resources related to Chemistry and the Periodic Table of Elements.

I hope you find some of these resources useful as you study Chemistry and the Periodic Table of Elements. Feel free to share thoughts and your own resources in the comments.

Chemistry Is Coming Your Way!

A reader asked me if I would make some fun downloads for a science curriculum that her family is using. She sent me the book before Christmas and it looks awesome. Keep an eye on the website for some fun Chemistry downloads coming your way. I have several download ideas just for the first chapter alone. I am hard at work, but wanted to share just enough information to give you a heads up.

You can check out the book on-line from the publisher. Real Science 4 Kids ~ Chemistry ~ Level 1 is for the grade 4-6 level, but could easily be adapted for other grade levels.

The downloads that I am making will nicely compliment this book, BUT you could use them with any chemistry curriculum. The downloads DO NOT REQUIRE that you own this book to use them. The downloads will completely stand alone without the book.
