We are putting our whole study into a binder (one for each child). I will be linking to downloads and creating downloads that will be suitable for including in your notebook. It will be a fun memory to look back on after your excursion as well as a good portfolio piece.
This week we are going to learn some basic things about Canada and do an overview of our whirlwind trip.

Look at the map with your children. Identify where Canada is. Identify where you live on the map (in relation to Canada, if you live somewhere else).

Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. Using the detailed map, identify each of the provinces and territories.
You can have your child label the basic map with information from the detailed map if you wish.
Identify the oceans on either side of Canada. Have your child label them if you wish.
We are going to take one week to visit each province and territory. There will be so much to see and do in each place that you probably won’t get everything done. Don’t feel bad about that. Focus on the things that interest you and your children. Leave the rest. Come back another time if you want and do the study all over again. I just want to whet your appetite and give you an interest for Canada. There is so much to see and do here.
